The e-shram card provides a unique 12-digit number to the workers in the unorganized sector, which serves as an identity proof and helps them earn many benefits.They are eligible for a pension of Rs 3,000 per month after reaching the age of 60.Moreover, they are eligible for death insurance of Rs 2,00,000 and financial assistance of Rs 1,00,000 in case of partial handicap of a worker.In case of death of beneficiary due to a mishap, the spouse will receive all the benefits.The scheme is available for unorganised workers or any individual working in the unorganised sector.Those aged between 16-59 years are eligible to avail of the benefits.Workers must have a valid mobile number linked with the Aadhaar card.Individuals working in the unorganised sector in India, such as construction workers, street vendors, and domestic workers, are eligible to apply for the E-Shram card.
