In this scenario, if you had cleaned up by deleting temporary files, the app would then not be able to complete the setup/install as you would have removed files that were not yet finished with.

You can have multiple ones of these, just run them as needed. set wd1=D:\home\work\fb440.dumper. set wd2=D:\home\work\py\tests. now use another command file to move around, based on those environment variables you just set.

May 23, 2017 · According to Wikipedia's article on temporary folders, the temporary directory on Windows is determined by the environment variable TEMP. If you were simply using c:\Temp as a temporary directory on a Windows system that set TEMP to something else, then any program using your XML file to choose a temporary directory would fail.

Feb 3, 2014 · /tmp is a common directory for temporary files in Unix also using the environment variable TMPDIR. From memory (when I used this in mid '80s) TEMP was the original one used in DOS and TMP tended to be used by programs that were ported from Unix to match the /tmp.
