May 31, 2009 · Since what I mean is love FROM mom, the comma is needed. However, since "thanks" is not a verb, there is less chance for confusion, but I would still include the comma. ALso I would capitalize Mom and Dad and Aunt Iris, which refer to specific individuals in this case, and thus function as proper nouns.

It's a bit like how you can use there's with a plural noun in informal speech: there's two things you need to bring. (Again, it's there's not there is.) E.

I think that "papà" is mostly used in northern Italy (don't know about Sicily).

I send an email message to him. Here we assume that "me" is too young to drive a car. So it must be a different person. Dad sends me to school by taxi.

I thought the Present Simple tense is usually used to refer to future events that are scheduled, and outside of our control. Since the action depends on dad, I chose " returns ".

In Indian languages itself, there are no different words between "pet" and "proper" terms to some extent: meaning that, every direct address Hindi word can also be used in all situations; however, there are some words that conversely are not really used in direct address.
