George V (George Frederick Ernest Albert; 3 June 1865 – 20 January 1936) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936.
George V, king of the United Kingdom from 1910 to 1936, the second son of Prince Albert Edward, later King Edward VII. Created duke of Cornwall and prince of Wales after his father’s accession (1901), he succeeded his father on May 6, 1910, and was crowned on June 22, 1911.
