West Kirby ( / wɛst ˈkɜːrbi /) is a coastal town in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside, England. In the north west of the Wirral Peninsula and at the mouth of the River Dee, the town is contiguous with Hoylake and historically within Cheshire. At the 2011 Census, the population was 12,733.

- spde83. Birkenhead, UK 103 contributions. Great place to go. Used west kirby marine lake for the first time today on my paddle board. Was clean and not to busy for a new user like me.

- Howard-Liverpool. Liverpool, UK3,147 contributions. Brilliant. Many years since I did the walk to Hilbre and it was superb. Took us about an hour just strolling and the weaterh was really good.

West Kirby is a small, Edwardian seaside town at the mouth of the Dee estuary. It offers a pleasant beach, views across to North Wales and Hilbre Island, as well as Coronation Gardens and a rare marine lake walk. Caldy, Thurstaston, Hoylake and Meols are adjacent villages along the coast.
