  2. ADMIN MOD • Deandre Ayton improves to "Ayton one" (8-1) against Luka Doncic Tonight showed once again that the Suns made the right choice in drafting the Bahamian big man first overall. Tonight's win was the 10th meeting between the Mavericks and Suns since the 2018 draft, however Ayton did not play in one of the games.

  3. DeAndre Ayton has so much God giving ability from the neck down. He should be going around Jokic. Granted, he might not be able to prevent Jokic from scoring, there's a reason why he is a two time MVP, BUT still on scale of 1-10 Ayton is a damn near 10 on the talent scale, Jokic would be a solid 2-3. But their mentalities are so night and day.

  4. Sep 27, 2023 · Ayton had become a dark cloud in Phoenix. His defense fell off a cliff last season. He was bench during the playoffs. He felt disrespected and unappreciated. Nothing changed with the arrival of KD. He needed a fresh start and the Suns swapping the moody Ayton for goofy, personable Nurkic is sure to bring some better vibes in the clubhouse for ...

  5. Deandre Ayton is a clown, a headcase and someone who doesn't care about winning. He got his deal and now he's on cruise control. Look at his free throw rate from last year. He would rather stay up all night and play NBA 2k (I'm not kidding) than actually improve his game. He's soft and apathetic. Every time he talks he says something stupid.

  6. Yes he is. A disappointment is a bust. No one would want to draft a player like that number 1 overall. This sub has way too hard a time saying anyone is a bust, unless you are like Kwame Brown level. I’ve seen people talking that Markelle Fultz isn’t a bust.

  7. Jun 15, 2021 · ADMIN MOD. How good is Deandre Ayton? The former #1 overall pick has been a really solid contributor for the Suns. However he has always been overshadowed by others in his draft class (notably Michael Porter Jr., SGA, Luka and Trae). And his 2 teammates in CP3 and Booker are widely lauded as the driving forces of the Suns success this season.

  8. Feb 9, 2024 · There is a big difference between Jason Quick tweeting BS about the Blazers and the Athletic publishing a curated article from him. Plus… we know this stuff about Deandre to be true. I truly feel for Blazers fans that are finding a way to pin this on the author being non-credible when there is evidence of Deandre being late and throwing tantrums.

  9. Ayton is a below average #1, at least so far. But he projects to have a below average career for a #1 too. So certainly not a bust but when you’re the #1 pick and you’re not returning at least average value, you’re a dud for sure. He definitely could turn things around to a degree and grab a couple All NBA spots but not looking all that ...

  10. Both guys are playing well and both their teams are winning games. Their stats are very similar: Ayton - 16.8/10.6/1.5 on .656 TS%. Allen - 16.3/11.0/1.9 on .709 TS%. They're also the same age at 23 years old (although Ayton is 3 months younger). Who do you consider the better player?

  11. Lesson 1, centers like Ayton r trash and comparable numbers can be found on waiver or late rounds. Like you could have got plumlee instead of wasting your pick 🤦‍♂️. plumlee shoots 54% on free throws at 4 attempts per game, gets only 0.5 steals and 0.6 blocks, and he averages 8.8 points.
