Bay City is a city in Central Michigan. A former lumbering/mill town that was incorporated in 1865, it was at one time the home of the celebrity Madonna, which is commemorated in a mural downtown.
Maybe the name gives it away, but Bay City is all about its charming waterfront. Set on the shores of Lake Huron, the area has a gorgeous river that cuts right through downtown, with plenty of historic buildings housing artisanal coffee shops, antiques stores, and brewpubs.
