[2] It lies 10 miles (16 km) north of Fredericksburg , approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of Washington, D.C. , and about 60 miles (97 km) north of Richmond , the state capital.

While on a visit to the Fredericksburg area my brother and I called in to Barry and Missy at Barley Naked,they are such nice nice people,they gave us a real warm welcome ,reminiscent of what you would have got in Ireland 30 years ago but not so much today.
