Shrivardhan (also spelled Shriwardhan) is a taluka, city, and local governing body in the Raigad district of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is renowned as the birthplace of Balaji Vishwanath, the first Peshwa (1713–1720) and father of Bajirao I , who held the position of Deshmukh in the town.

- travelonrepeat_please. Pune, India 87 contributions. Clean and Serene Beach. We went to Shrivardhan Beach just after Diwali and was expecting huge crowds but surprisingly there wasn't much crowd as compared to Diveagar Beach or Harihareshwar Beach and the beach was extremely clean.
