  3. Sep 7, 2019 · Magamuni, for the most part, is very elegantly (but slowly) paced, grim and taut. It starts right from the first frame – the title – largely thanks to a semi-creepy background score from SS Thaman, which, at times, sounds like the stomach growl of a dinosaur, but that's good, dinosaurs are scary.

  6. Sep 5, 2019 · SS Thaman's pulsating background score helps elevate a lot of thrilling sequences in the film. Director Santhkumar's second film Magamuni is an excellent social commentary on casteism, discrimination, politics and spirituality. The film starring Arya is a slow burner, but will pry open your eyes. 3.5 out of 5 stars for Magamuni.
