The completed DS-160 application form will generate an alpha-numeric barcode confirmation page. Print this page. The printed confirmation page is required for the interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
The Embassy or Consulate at which you actually apply should be able to access your form using the barcode on your DS-160 confirmation page, which you must bring to the visa interview.
The completed DS-160 application form will generate an alpha-numeric DS-160 confirmation letter. Print the DS-160 confirmation letter on a paper format with readable barcode. Once printed, hit the "Back" button on your web browser and email yourself a backup copy of the DS-160 confirmation letter.
