The Regent's Canal came along shortly after (around 1816) and, without doubt, helped Camden establish its position as a transport link. The goods were leaving the rail tracks here, and later they were transported to other parts of London by horses.
Camden Town is well known for its wide variety of historic, charming, and quirky pubs, many of which have been frequented by the area’s famous residents over the years.
