Feb 27, 2020 · Altered Carbon Season 2, Episode 1 “Phantom Lady” ends with Kovacs telling the audience how desperate he is to hold on to the past with his ghosts. Kovacs tells himself that he cannot do this anymore; chasing stars to find Quellcrist Falconer — she’s become a figment of his imagination and she tells him that his sleeve, his flesh, is built with memories.
My respect for the script writers dropped past zero when s/he complained that someone has shot him/her from behind. An envoy without intuition shouldn't have lasted. 167 votes, 383 comments. - Poe Is Alive. After the big heist in the first season, it seemed like the only person not to make it out was Poe. Who, although he is not technically a person, still brings a lot to the show.
- New Kovacs. Our first view of Kovacs isn’t anywhere near what he used to be. The first view he’s been re-sleeved into is a female singer inside of the club.
- Motivation. Last season Kovacs’s forced goal was to solve the murder of Laurens Bancroft for his freedom. This time around, it’s another meth named Horace Axley who finds Kovacs and “hires” him for protection against an unknown force.
- Tanaseda Hideki. Kovacs and Poe end up in a place called Harlan’s World with seemingly nowhere to stay. Kovacs alludes to a place that an old friend owns, and it seems like a hint at Poe’s old hotel, but it ends up being somewhere different.
Feb 28, 2020 · One of the greatest things about Altered Carbon Season 1 was the sheer amount of world-building and lore pouring from every moment of the show. Never did it baby or coddle the viewers with excessive exposition, and thankfully, Season 2 is just as brutal, throwing terms, names, history, and character motivations to the viewer with no filter.
