Jan 4, 2023 · ವೃತ್ತಿ ಜೀವನ. ಕಂಬಾರರು ಯುವಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಧಾರವಾಡದ ಕವಿ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕವಿತೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಓದಿದ್ದರಂತೆ, ಖ್ಯಾತ ಕವಿಗಳೊಬ್ಬರು ಕಂಬಾರರ ಕವಿತೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕವಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅದ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಕಂಬಾರರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕುಹಕದ ಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು. “ಕಬ್ಬಿಣ ಕಾಸುವವರೂ ಈಗ ಕಾವ್ಯ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ” ಎಂಬ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರ ಮಾತು ಕಂಬಾರರ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನವನ್ನೇ ಬಡಿದೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿತು.
