The second season of Drag Race Italia, the Italian version of RuPaul's Drag Race, was first announced on March 1, 2022, when the show's official Instagram account announcing that casting was open for Season 2.
On September 14, 2022, a teaser trailer was released, confirming that the season would air in October.
The cast was revealed on September 30, 2022 by Vanity Fair Italia and through the show's social media accounts. The promo theme was Magic is Back. Furthermore, the airdate was revealed to be October 20, 2022.
La Diamond was crowned Italia's Next Drag Superstar, with Aura Eternal and Nehellenia as runners-up. Nehellenia also won the title of Miss Congeniality.
