Guillaume de Montmorency (1453 – 14 May 1531, Chantilly) was Baron de Montmorency and lord of Chantilly. As general of finances for the king, he was governor of several royal castles and accompanied Louis XII during the Italian War of 1494–1498.
Guillaume de Montmorency, Seigneur of Thoré (c. 1547-c. 1593) was a French noble, and military commander during the latter French Wars of Religion. Thoré was among those Catholic nobles who were perceived as soft on Protestantism, and as such during the Massacre of Saint Bartholomew he feared for his life.
