Peter Joseph Kentenich, SAC (16 November 1885 – 15 September 1968) was a German Pallottine priest and founder of the Schoenstatt Apostolic Movement. Kentenich was a theologian, educator, and founder of a Catholic movement, whose teachings underwent a series of challenges from political and ecclesiastical powers.
Joseph Kentenich was born November 16, 1885, near Cologne (Germany) and was ordained a priest on July 8, 1910. In the first years of his pastoral ministry, he was Spiritual Director at the Pallottine Minor Seminary in Schoenstatt by the Rhine.
