Jun 21, 2024 · Shares of Hindustan Zinc (HZL) jumped nearly 6% to hit the day's high of Rs 684 on the NSE on Friday after the company informed exchanges about an MoU with AEsir Technologies, Inc. for supply of zinc, a key raw material for next generation batteries. AEsir is a US-based company specialising in next-generation zinc battery technologies. The Vedanta group company said that the move is part of its efforts to bolster the ongoing global energy transition.
