Priit Kasesalu (born 10 April 1972) is an Estonian programmer and software developer best known for his participation in the development of Kazaa, Skype and, most recently, Joost. He currently works for Ambient Sound Investments and lives in Tallinn, Estonia.
The software was created by Estonians Ahti Heinla, Priit Kasesalu, Jaan Tallinn, and Toivo Annus. Friis and Annus are credited with the idea of reducing the cost of voice calls by using a P2P protocol like that of Kazaa.

Mr. Priit Kasesalu is a Co-Founder of Ambient Sound Investments. He is heavily involved in assessing all of ASI's new technology investments. Before ASI, Priit played an integral role in developing Kazaa and later Skype; indeed, he continues to work at Skype as a core library developer.
Bio/Description. In 1986, he began his career as a programmer for a local hardware manufacturer with his class-mate Jaan Tallinn. The company was assembling 8 bit computers for use in public schools. He wrote various software for the platform, including several games.
