Cyril Holland (born Cyril Wilde, 5 June 1885 – 9 May 1915) was the older of the two sons of Oscar Wilde and Constance Lloyd and brother to Vyvyan Holland.

The couple had two sons, Cyril (1885) and Vyvyan (1886). Wilde became the sole literary signatory of George Bernard Shaw 's petition for a pardon of the anarchists arrested (and later executed) after the Haymarket massacre in Chicago in 1886.

When the First World War broke out, Captain Holland was posted back to Europe and took part in the battle for Neuve-Chapelle, where he was killed by a German sniper on 9 May 1915, during the Battle of Festubert.

Holland stands up for both his mother and his father, and focuses on pre-trial and post-trial life for the family. He includes childhood stories, the fight of the sword-cane with Cyril is told wonderfully. Holland does write some wonderful descriptions of places and things.
