Afzal Ansari. Afzal Ansari (born 14 August 1953) [1] is an Indian politician [2] of the Samajwadi Party and currently an incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) of India for Ghazipur constituency, Uttar Pradesh. [3] He won the 2004 and 2019 Indian general election .
Ansari, a five-time assembly member and two-time parliamentarian, was disqualified as a member of the Lok Sabha on May 1 after being convicted and sentenced to four years in prison.
