Bernard Wrigley (born 25 February 1948 in Bolton, Lancashire, England) [1] is an English singer, actor and comedian. He is sometimes known by the nickname "The Bolton Bullfrog".
Recorded one evening in 1969 at the Octagon Theatre, Bolton, Lancashire. Featuring Dave Brooks, Bernard Wrigley, John Shiels, Gary & Vera Aspey, & Dave Weatherall. A double album, over 2-hours, 63-tracks, completely remastered from the original master tapes. Originally released on long playing 7” vinyl.
Bernard Wrigley. Actor: Phoenix Nights. Bernard went to grammar school in Bolton, then began performing by singing in folk clubs. He became involved with documentaries produced at the new and dynamic Octagon theatre in Bolton. This carried on into plays, and then the Ken Campbell Roadshow, where the acting and singing combined.
