Steve Vaus (also known as Buck Howdy; born April 7, 1962) is an American recording artist and politician who was elected mayor of Poway, California in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. In 2020, he ran for a position on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, losing narrowly to Joel Anderson.
Steve Vaus is the co-founder of Carols by Candlelight, a Christmas concert that benefits children's charities in San Diego. He is also the mayor of Poway, CA, and a Grammy and Emmy award winner for his music.
