Adam Randal Young (born July 5, 1986) [7] is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known as the founder and sole member of electronica project Owl City. [6] Outside of Owl City, Young has recorded music under different musical projects, most notably Port Blue and Sky Sailing. [8]
Adam Young has previously attributed the name Owl City to the 1962 short film An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge among other various answers. Suffering from insomnia while working loading Coca-Cola trucks, Young began to compose music, recording with a C-1 Behringer Microphone.
