   • Trans Am is an analogy for capitalistic "progress". Trans Am is a criticism of American "development" and placing the highest priority on financial profit. (Does Neil have a political and social commentary to make---no, it can't be?) The Trans Am could not be stopped, it just kept rolling on. Ultimatley though, the Trans Am does show wear.
