Synopsis. A con man is captured by the Nazis during World War II and forced to enter a prison, posing as a captured general, to weed out rebel leaders of the Italian Resistasnce. Once there, however, he has a change of heart, joins the cause of the rebels, and awaits the price he will pay for it.
