She and her mother are able to find work as maids for a snooty Vietnamese couple in a wealthier part of the area; meanwhile Le Ly discovers that her sister's work is as a prostitute, complete with low-cut dresses and red heart-shaped sunglasses from Stanley Kubrick's Lolita film.
