It is loosely based on a short story by Ray Bradbury (which in turn was based on his 1948 radio play for the CBS show Suspense) with a script written by Merwin Gerard.

Jan 29, 1972 · Montecito dowager Laura Wynant (screen legend Olivia de Havilland, in her TV-movie debut) has just returned from a five-month stay at a sanitarium when she notices a neighbor’s dog acting strangely on the grounds of her estate. Investigating, she hears the voice of a woman who has been buried alive.
