Kike wadatsumi no koe Last Friends is a 1995 Japanese drama war film written by Akira Hayasaka and directed by Masanobu Deme.
It is based on the 1949 best-selling book Listen to the Voices from the Sea (Kike wadatsumi no koe), a collection of letters by Japanese student soldiers killed in World War II. The first post-war Japanese film to feature battle scenes, it was also a big success with domestic cinema audiences.
