Synopsis by Hal Erickson. Raymond Burr was already three years into Perry Mason when he decided to return to his movie-villain roots with Desire in the Dust. Burr, playing the patriarch of a Southern family, befriends the ex-convict (Ken Scott) who'd supposedly killed Burr's son in an auto accident.
Desire in the Dust delves deep into the dark side of human nature, showcasing how desire and ambition can drive individuals to commit heinous acts. Lonnie Wilson becomes the target of a vengeful woman, played by Martha Hyer, who is determined to destroy him and his family.
