Louis Hayward plays an arrogant Cambridge student who emigrates to America and enrolls at the West Point. Hayward’s cocky attitude earns him the enmity of his fellow students and the derisive nickname “the Duke”.
Young Steven Early, the son of the American military attache to London, enters West Point after a spectacular career at school in England. Because of his bemused, aristocratic manner, his fellow plebes call him "the Duke."
