I originally started out to say that it would probably help to be a movie buff if you find yourself watching "Fade to Black." This is a weird, uneven, generally intriguing thriller about a young man whose fantasy life is totally controlled by images from movies.
In Los Angeles, Eric Binford is a lonely and outcast cinephile that loves Marilyn Monroe. He is orphan and lives with his crippled Aunt Stella Binford. Eric works in a company of logistics for studios and is bullied by his boss and two co-workers.
