Azit, the intelligent German Shepherd dog of Paratrooper Lieutenant Uri's girlfriend Tammy, rescues the wife of the neighborhood butcher from a pickpocket. After that, Azit is sent to a military training base where she is certified for parachute missions, detection, and surveillance.
He started his career by directing the television show Lool (1969) and the music documentary Shablul (1970). Later he directed Israeli cult films such as Charlie Ve'hetzi (1974) and Hagiga B'Snuker (1975). In 1974 he directed the film Mishpahat Tzan'ani.

I saw this in a movie theatre in Jerusalem back in 1972 when it came out as a first run flick. I was 11 years old. It was the coolest movie I'd ever seen. Azit puts Lassie to shame!
