It was released in the United States on 4 July 1963. Later, Gordon released a less explicit version of the film under the title Curse of the Vampire for television audiences.

The castle, inhabited by Count Gabor, his assistant and a vampire, is little refuge for the traveling showgirls as they slowly fall under the spell of the undead demon.
