The Valiant Ones (Chinese: 忠烈圖; pinyin: Zhong lie tu, lit. ' Portraits of Valor ' or lit. ' Portrait of the Loyal Martyrs ') is a 1975 Taiwan and Hong Kong wuxia film written and directed by King Hu. The film portrays a Ming-era conflict between Chinese officials and Japanese pirates mediated by a husband-and-wife martial arts duo.

The Valiant Ones, from legendary Chinese director King Hu (best known for A Touch of Zen (1971) and Dragon Inn (1967)) is generally considered one of the last great wuxia films.
THE VALIANT ONES (1974) is a mid-career work from celebrated Chinese director King Hu who worked in Hong Kong and Taiwan and specialized in costume adventures with martial arts themes. It's a historical swordplay adventure about Chinese officials trying to find a way to thwart Japanese pirates plundering the coast of China.
