Condemned to a life of self-pity and drug abuse, Cahit, a German-Turk in his forties who has given up from life, decides to put an end to his miserable existence, and in despair, he drives his car head-on into a wall.
Desperate to escape her suffocatingly traditional family, young Sibel convinces disillusioned alcoholic Cahit to marry her. After their wedding, the two lost souls live together as flatmates but gradually fall in love with one another. However, problems arise quickly.
