As Krsna is the supreme among all incarnations, Purusottama is the supreme among all months. It is the holiest month, far superior to the pious months of Magha, Vaisakh and Karttika.
The Supreme Divine Personality, who is the eternal source, sustainer, and regulator of the entire world, is called Purushottam or God. He is transcendental to both imperishable and perishable beings. Therefore, we must worship God with complete surrender. Bhagavad Gita 15.1.
