Dream ( Russian: Мечта, romanized : Mechta) is a 1943 Soviet drama film directed by Mikhail Romm. [1] Plot. Dream (full film) The film is set in 1933. From poor villages in Western Ukraine, at that time belonging to Poland, thousands of people are going to cities in search of work and happiness. Among them is Anna.
"Mechta", or "Dream", filmed in the beginning of the forties, is a highly politicized picture. In the first part, Lazar asks Anna of her dreams - she answers that she would like her parents to be able to afford a cow, to get married and health for all her beloved ones.
