‘I Surrender, Dear’ was the first hit of Bing Crosby alone. The Rhythm Boys, a famous trio that he formed, Harry Barris and Al Rinker, work with Paul Whiteman’s orchestra from December 1926 to May 1930. In 1930 Crosby was arrested for driving drunk, so Whiteman terminated the contract with him.
