It’s hard to miss a Siberian Husky–they have many distinctive breed features and a Husky is certainly one handsome dog. However, they do share some common traits with other dogs, and can, to an untrained eye, sometimes be mistaken for malamutes or even German Shepherds.
The Siberian Husky is a medium-sized working sled dog breed. The breed belongs to the Spitz genetic family. It is recognizable by its thickly furred double coat, erect triangular ears, and distinctive markings, and is smaller than the similar-looking Alaskan Malamute .

The Siberian Husky is good at pulling light loads over long distances at a moderate speed, akin to a thoroughbred racehorse designed for swift endurance.
