Out of the sanctioned 22 AIIMS, 6 AIIMS at Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Patna (Bihar), Raipur (Chhattisgarh) and Rishikesh (Uttarakhand) became operational in 2012.
