Eric Gordon Murray CNZM (born 6 May 1982) is a retired New Zealand rower and gold medalist at the 2012 London Olympic Games, as well as at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. He won six consecutive World Rowing Championship gold medals in the coxless pair plus two other gold medals in the coxless four and coxed pair .
Biography. In retaining their Olympic coxless pairs title at Rio 2016, New Zealand rowers Hamish Bond and Eric Murray extended their remarkable unbeaten run in international regattas to 69 races over eight seasons, cementing their status as one of the greatest double acts the sport has ever seen.

Eric Murray is a two-time Olympic champion, having won gold in the coxless pair with Hamish Bond at London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016. The pair teamed up in 2009 and became one of the most successful combinations in rowing history.
