Graeme Craig Smith (born 1 February 1981) is a South African cricket commentator and former cricketer who played for South Africa in all formats. In 2003, he was appointed captain of the national team, taking over from Shaun Pollock. He held the position of test captain until his retirement in 2014. [2]
Graeme Smith was a dominant and direct leader and batsman for South Africa in the first two decades of the 21st century. He led his team to many away series victories, scored several double-centuries, and retired in 2014 after a lean patch.
