The Indian long jumper set a new personal best of 8.29m at the MVA High Performance athletics meet in California, but his effort was not official due to excessive tailwinds. Murali Sreeshankar, a Commonwealth Games 2022 silver medallist, is aiming for the Asian Games 2023 qualifying standard of 7.95m.
