Edward Ralph Dexter, CBE (15 May 1935 – 25 August 2021 [2]) was an England international cricketer. [3] An aggressive middle-order batsman of ferocious power and a right-arm medium bowler, he captained Sussex and England in the early 1960s. [4] . He captained England in 30 test matches out of his 62 test match appearances.
Ted Dexter was a right-handed batsman and medium-pacer who played for England from 1958 to 1968. He scored nine Test centuries, including a blistering 70 against West Indies at Lord's in 1963, and was also a talented golfer and broadcaster.
