Mona Maris (1903-1991) was a sultry, sleepy-eyed brunette who starred in silent and sound films in several languages. She is best known for her role as a femme fatale opposite Carlos Gardel in Cuesta abajo (1934), and for her Hollywood roles in The Falcon in Mexico (1944) and I Married an Angel (1942).
