芸能界デビュー. 幼少期から 藤沢市 の安田バレエ教室で クラシックバレエ を習う。 13歳だった 1986年 、本名の「高岡佐紀子」名義で雑誌『セブンティーン』のモデルとして芸能活動を開始 [1] 。 14歳だった 1987年 5月4日、 東京厚生年金会館 で行われた「 ミスマガジン アイドル夢工場 '87」の最終審査に進出するも、落選。 同年、バレリーナになるつもりで海外留学の資金集めをどうするか考えていた所、靴メーカー「 マドラス 」主催の「第3回シンデレラ・コンテスト」を知り、優勝賞金500万円につられて深く考えずに応募。 その回の出場者の中で最年少だったが優勝し、直後にCMデビューが前提のコンテストだったことを初めて知る [2] 。
