Joe Sims (born 1980) is a British actor known primarily for his roles in ITV's drama Broadchurch where he played plumber Nige Carter., and as a voice actor, the Tenth Doctor's companion Mark Seven in Doctor Who, through Big Finish Productions audio dramas.
Joe Sims is the national co-chairman of the Communist Party of the United States of America (CPUSA), as well as a co-editor of the Party's online newspaper, People's World. He has held the position of co-chairman since 2019, when he was elected alongside Rossana Cambron at the party's 31st national convention in Chicago.
Joe Sims is a Bristol-born actor who has appeared in TV shows such as Broadchurch, Doctor Who, and Red Dwarf. He has also won awards for his theatre and radio work, and voiced characters in video games such as Assassin's Creed and Final Fantasy XVI.
