Warren Oates was an American actor, mostly known for his intense, off-beat roles in Hollywood Westerns. He was from a small town in Kentucky and had to struggle his way up, doing menial jobs in New York as a dishwasher and coffee-shop boy, while auditioning for TV and movie roles.
