Masayoshi Ueki (植木 正義, Ueki Masayoshi; March 30, 1903 – March 31, 1983), known professionally as Chiezō Kataoka (片岡 千恵蔵, Kataoka Chiezō), was a Japanese film and television actor most famous for his starring roles in jidaigeki.

Chiezô Kataoka was born on 20 March 1903 in Yabuzukahonmachi, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. He was an actor, known for Mitsu-kubi-tou (1956), Zoku Shimizu minato (1940) and Jiraiya (1937). He died on 31 March 1983.

Tōyama no Kin-san (遠山の金さん) is a popular character based on the historical Tōyama Kagemoto, a samurai and official of the Tokugawa shogunate during the Edo period of Japanese history. [1] In kabuki and kōdan, he was celebrated under his childhood name, Kinshirō, shortened to Kin-san.
Toyama Kinshiro, a commissioner from northern Edo, goes undercover to unravel the mystery behind a series of murders. Kinshiro, played by Kataoka Chiezo, is most famous for the cherry blossom tattoos on his shoulder which he reveals at the moment of judgement.
